Set up multi-factor authentication for your firm

Multi-factor authentication is a required security feature for staff. You can make multi-factor authentication a required feature for clients, too.

  1. Choose Setup > Onvio Security.

Note: If you don't see this link, you don't have access to this area.

  2. Under Multi-factor Authentication, click the switch for clients to make multi-factor authentication required for those users.

Since multi-factor authentication is required for staff, they will be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication at their next login, after which they must use a mobile device with the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app or a third-party TOTP-compliant app to log in to Onvio.

When multi-factor authentication is optional for clients, they can choose to provide an additional layer of security for their Onvio login. Follow the process outlined in Set up multi-factor authentication for your login to get started.
