Create new clients

When creating clients for tax purposes, complete the fields below to reduce your effort of needing to retype the same information later.

  1. Click and select Onvio Centre.
  2. Click on Setup > Contacts: Clients
  3. Click Add
  4. In the General tab, select Entity type (Individual, Company, Trust etc)
  5. Add the client details:
    1. Client ID (unique)*
    2. Name*
    3. Country of Residence
    4. Tax File Number (TFN)
    5. Australian Business Number (ABN)
    6. Date of birth
    7. Date of death
    8. Home address
    9. Postal address
    10. Mobile phone #
    11. Business phone # (daytime contact #)
    12. Email address (primary)
  6. In the Tax tab, add the following details for Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
    1. BSB
    2. Account number
    3. Account Name
Example: Adding a client address with Type=Postal in Onvio Centre will be automatically populated to the Postal Address in the Tax Cover when you create a project for that client. Same for Home Address.

The client details above must be added in Onvio Centre prior creating a project for this client. Otherwise, anything missing will not be available to the project that is already created.
