Retrieval of Notice of Assessment (NOA)

You may now track the status of your original individual tax return and retrieve the Notice of Assessment (NOA) for lodgment that has been accepted by ATO via on-demand or automatic.

On-Demand:

  1. Go to Properties > Assessment for the chosen project.
  2. Select Check NOA to get the latest status of the assessment.
  3. The status of the assessment will be reflected in the same tab.
  4. If the status is Issued, the NOA will be retrieved and a link will be displayed for the PDF file in the Documents folder.
  5. The variance will be automatically calculated between Tax Estimate and NOA. For any variance, the tax agent will receive Onvio notification.

Automatic:

  1. Once that tax return has been lodged and accepted by ATO, Onvio will automatically check and update the assessment status after 36 hours.
  2. The status of the assessment will be reflected in Properties > Assessment.
  3. Onvio will automatically retrieve the Notice of Assessment once the status is Issued.
  4. Once the NOA is retrieved, the tax agent will get notifications in Onvio and via email and a link to PDF file will be available in Properties > Assessment.
  5. The variance will be automatically calculated between Tax Estimate and NOA. For any variance, the tax agent will receive Onvio notification.
NOTE: This is only available from Individual Income Tax Returns 2019 onwards
