Setup staff and/or firm as a tax agent

Setting up a firm as a tax agent

  1. Choose Setup > Firm
  2. You must enter a name before you can save the firm's details. By default, the entity type is preselected to Company.
  3. To enter the tax agent details of the firm, click on the Lodgment tab.
  4. You must enter the Tax Agent Number and Tax Agent ABN of the firm. By default, the Tax Agent Name, and phone number will be prepopulated with the Firm name you entered on the General tab.
  5. Save your changes
  6. To set the firm as the tax agent for a client, do not make a selection from the tax agent dropdown when creating a project. If no selection is made at this dropdown, Onvio will use the tax agent details entered for the Firm.
Note: To notify ATO regarding Onvio contact them on 1300 852 232 and quote the Software identification number provided or an access administrator of the firm can use the My hosted SBR software services function in Access Manager. Setting up a staff member as a tax agent

  1. Choose Setup > Staff.
  2. Select next to the name of the staff member you want to set up as a tax agent.
  3. Select the Roles tab.
  4. Tick the Tax Agent checkbox.
  5. On the same tab, you must enter the Tax Agent Number and Tax Agent ABN of the staff member. By default, the Tax Agent Name will be prepopulated with the staff members name and phone number you entered on the General tab.
  6. Save your changes.
  7. To set the staff member as the tax agent for a client, select the staff member from the Tax Agent dropdown when creating a project.
