Onvio Link

Install Onvio Link to enable the following features.

The following options are available after you've finished editing/updating a Word or Excel document, and before closing the Onvio Link panel.

  • Sync to Onvio: Synchronizes your changes to the Onvio application.
  • Sync and Close: Synchronizes your changes in the document and closes Onvio Link.
  • Close: Closes the document and Onvio Link without synchronzing the changes with Onvio.

You can install and use Onvio Link only on computers that run a Microsoft Windows operating system.

  • If you access Microsoft Office applications through Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS), you can click the Launch Onvio button in the Onvio Link toolbar to open, edit, and download documents.
  • Adobe Acrobat is currently not available on Virtual Office CS. This application adds editing capabilities to your PDF documents. Virtual Office CS currently hosts only Adobe Acrobat Reader which allows you to view the PDF documents, but not edit them. To edit PDF files that you download via Virtual Office CS applications, you must install Onvio Link locally on a computer on which Adobe Acrobat Professional or Standard is installed.
  • Note that the Settings button in the Onvio Link toolbar will not be available when you install Onvio Link locally to edit PDF files via Virtual Office CS.

Download the installation file

Then, locate the onvio_link_installer.en_us.msi file on your computer, open the file, and follow the steps in the installation wizard to install Onvio Link.

Onvio Link will prompt you to download and apply updates when they become available.

To uninstall Onvio Link, find the applications folder on your computer by searching on Remove Programs. When you open the applications folder you will see Onvio Link in the list, and you can select it to uninstall.

Troubleshooting

Files that do not sync and close will display a "failed" message at the bottom of the Onvio Link window. You can click the message to show more details about the error and resolve it.

Example

The failed message indicates that the file is still open, but you don't see the file. Browse to the location listed in the error message, and then upload that file to Onvio manually. Then, delete the folder that contained the file and the next time you sign in to Onvio Link the file will not appear.
