Form D-30, Unincorporated Franchise Tax Return (1041 DC)

This topic contains notes about calculations and data entry for Form D-30. 

  • If gross income on Form D-30, line 10 is less than $12,000, the form prints because the district requires filing regardless the amount of income. However, the form does not calculate beyond line 10.
  • All income and expenses carries from the federal C, F and Rent screens to the corresponding input screens in DC.
  • The allocation tab determines the payroll and sales factors on Form D-30, Page 4, Schedule F.  The allocation tab does not determine income and expenses on page 1.  All income / expenses calculate at full value on the form. 
  • You should enter the estimates for Form D-30 on the federal StPmt screen, in the Payments folder. When you select the DC postal code, you should also select the Type of return to designate what return you want to apply the estimates.
